I have reviewed the Fitbit Flex for the past week or so. I was so excited to have the opportunity to wear one as I am a fitness person and take pride in understanding health and well being.
The fit bit gave me information about my steps taken in a day which totaled my calories burnt. It all linked into my Iphone with an App. Nice and easy to setup.
Like anything, there is room for slight error, but for someone who is just starting out to get fit and lose weight this is a great product.
For me personally, my heart rate is the most important thing I need with all my weight and cardio training I’m doing at my ripe old age of 42. But the fit bit did not offer this.
Also a little disappointing was I was asked every morning how I slept and had to put the time in. Perhaps I missed something in the “how to” section but I expected it to tell me when I slept and what activity I went through during sleep eg. restlessness etc.
I would recommend the Fitbit Flex to the the very beginners of their journey into better health/fitness and losing weight. You may find you will wear it for the first few weeks to get a consistent reading then perhaps rest from it and wear it again after 6- 8 weeks depending on your routines. I would suggest finding another product for your heart rate as this is beneficial to you understanding weight loss zone and cardio fitness.
The Fitbit Flex comes in black, blue and pink and I would choose black so it blends with my clothes better. In all I love any technology that makes my life easier so I would definitely recommend any of the Fitbit products to busy mums who care about their fitness!
