My first sling carrier and I have to say I am pretty in love! I loved all the fabric options but in the end I chose ‘Moonlit Sky’.

The Hotslings carrier has a lot of safety precautions and a brilliant instruction video and pamphlet. Its a little confusing at first but after a few attempts I got the hang of it. There are a few different carry options depending on the age of your baby. I have a 3 month old who is about the size of a 6 month old so I found he was a bit cramped with the newborn/infant carries but he lacked the head support for the hip carry. He didn’t seem to mind being squished though and he fell asleep almost instantly. After about 30 mins my wearing shoulder did start to get sore. Hotslings do recommend changing sides if you get sore. I think some padding on the shoulder would solve this issue especially as baby gets bigger. I couldn’t imagine wearing this for a long period but its perfect for getting the shopping done or a walk to the park. I am really excited to try the hip carry when bub gets bigger!

UPDATE-He’s 3.5months now and I’ve started doing the hip carry. Its super comfy and I’ve found that with the cooler weather and thick jumpers I can wear the sling longer because of the padding from the jumper. This is my go to carrier when I don’t have time to fiddle with wraps.

The sling has two tri-glide adjusters and comes in two sizes, regular and large. The fabric is light so bub didn’t overheat.

The best bit- The compact carry pouch for the sling which means your sling can fit perfectly in your handbag or nappy bag!
