The Suppori is a compact, light weight, easy to use baby sling. It’s a simple, no fuss alternative to long wraps and complicated carriers that take up a lot of time and space. It actually fits in the palm of your hand. My Suppori now has a permanent home in my handbag for emergency babywearing use (like when you take the pram but baby decides he just wants to be carried), and for running errands that require us both getting in and out of the car a lot and tying a long wrap on and off just seems like too much hassle (would be great for school pick ups).
The Suppori is ergonomically designed for both wearer and wearee. When used correctly baby is seated with a curved spine and legs in the M position, whilst the weight is distributed over the strong shoulder muscles of the wearer. Even my husband (who finds the Ergo complicated to use!) thought the Suppori was great, comfortable and easy to use. He’s looking forward to using it when he takes on stay-at-home-dad duties in a couple of months, and loves the fact that it wont take up too much room the nappy bag.
You do have to be careful that baby is seated correctly because the edges are very firm and if not brought up under the knees properly could pull into the legs, and the other drawback is that the Suppori is not adjustable. To make up for it though, it comes in a wide range of sizes and I found that the Large size was suitable for both myself (5 foot 6) and my husband (6 foot 1). www.littlem.com.au has a very handy size guide to help you pick the perfect fit. There’s a fantastic range of colours to choose from as well, and the Suppori is so well priced that you can probably afford to have more than one. Being made from mesh means its breathable too, and even suitable for use at the beach or IN the pool.
